The Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
This module will teach you the basics of supply chain management (SCM). You will learn about the evolution of SCM, collaboration within the supply chain, and the effects the system has on an organization. You will be able to define organizational strategies, understand how to synchronize the supply chain, and how to use technology to maximize the value of the supply chain. The course will conclude with an exploration of the challenges that occur when implementing SCM systems across various sectors, along with future implications for SCM systems.

Supply Chain Management Strategies
This module will present fundamental supply chain management (SCM) strategies one needs to consider before implementing an effective and workable SCM system. SCM concepts and strategies included in this module are centralized and decentralized distribution systems, push- and pullbased supply chains, risk pooling, the bullwhip effect, and centralized and decentralized inventory systems. The module will also examine the importance of supply chain partnerships and will look at strategies for implementing a global supply chain. Completion of the module will allow the learner to assess the needs of a particular organization and choose the strategies that will help build a successful SCM system.

Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management
In this module, students will learn how to how to achieve a strategic fit between supply chain management and competitive strategies. Once the strategies are determined, students will learn about the forecasting and planning processes. Finally, students will discover different types of inventory management and how to maintain optimal levels of inventory across the supply chain. In other words, students will understand what is required to get the right materials to the right place, at the right time.

Supply Chain Management and e-Business
In this module, students will learn how e-business and supply chains have merged, creating a network of immense opportunities. Supply chain structures have changed, and improving the performance of these supply chains is dependent on the use of ebusiness technology and innovation. This module identifies the significant components needed to create effective supply chains. Cost reduction, capital investments and supply chain processes are presented, outlining the significance of their impact on e-business and the supply chains that support them.

Supply Chain Transportation and Facility Design
In this module, students will learn about the role of transportation in a supply chain, including modes of transportation and transportation network design and decisions. Students will also learn about facility decisions and the factors that affect them, as well as the steps involved in redesigning an existing network.
