What is SB English?
SB English is an effective tool to enhance communication skills among those learners who know English but are not comfortable communicating in it.

The SB English course is designed to help the learners familiarize themselves with the basics of communicating effectively in the language and removing regional influences.

Who is it meant for?
Candidates who have studied English as a second language Candidates who have a basic knowledge of English but are not conversant enough to use the language as an effective communication tool. Candidates who speak English that is influenced by regional factors such as accent, colloquialisms, etc.

Candidates with no exposure to foreign accents There is no basic educational qualification requirement for undergoing the SB English course.

SB English components
SB English comprises of two levels: 1 and 2.

Level 1 helps the learner get familiar with the way English is spoken and helps him improve vocabulary. By the end of Level 1, the learner can start conversing in basic English fluently.

Course Details

SB English Level One does not place any formal emphasis on grammar, thereby making the learning process easy and stress free for the learner.

The learner moves from very basic vocabulary to more challenging levels in a very gradual manner and a lot of emphasis is put on listening and comprehension skills.

The learner gets a good exposure to right pronunciation, thereby preparing him for a more theoretical understanding of phonetics.

Level 2 introduces the learner to some elements of grammar and pronunciation to ensure that by the end of it, he is able to communicate in English with clarity.

Course Details
SB English Level Two places high importance on pronunciation, intonation and modulation with jaw exercises and examples of incorrect pronunciations.

Colloquialisms and examples of incorrect pronunciation across regions is highlighted to make the learning process easier for the learners. Frequent grammatical mistakes such as subject verb agreement, articles, degrees of comparison, prepositions and tenses will be covered in this level.

Learners are also introduced to foreign accents at this stage to facilitate better comprehension of the same. The focus here is to enable learners to speak grammatically correct English with a neutral accent. After completing this level learners should be able to comprehend different foreign accents.

Scenarios are chosen with care to ensure knowledge in terms of social and environmental awareness. Learners will be taught the basic guide lines pertaining to Group Discussions and given enough practice in making presentations in an effective and confident manner

Learner understands the importance of the right intonation for effective communication and also understand the importance of using the right word in the right context for maximum impact.
